Early season rustiness manifested itself at Horfield where our humble D team still took both points from a C team!

Our Nigel took a comfortable draw after which we reached a situation where we were level with three games to finish. Alexis looked comfortable, having looked rather uncomfortable earlier on. Dan and Dave just looked uncomfortable to various degrees, so a drawn match was possibly our best hope.

Alexis duly converted and Dave submitted but Dan turned round from a pawn down to playing an excellent pawn ending to clinch the winning point.

Earlier on, their Nigel neglected his development to such an extent that I was able to notch up my first ever win against him, after umpteen attempts.
