We fielded possibly our youngest ever team against Clifton E, who now trade under the name "Clifton Juniors" They turned out to be on average at least three years older than our boys, with a ratings advantage to match.

However, we put up an excellent fight according to John's comments on WhatsApp. Carolus had an even contest for a long part of his game but his opponent got the better of him in the ending. Charlie also fought right to the end.

Hector and Vivaan were making their league debuts. Hector went a pawn up but unfortunately this led to the loss of a piece. Vivaan took a much more experienced player deep into the ending.

It was a tenacious all round effort and will no doubt augur well for the future.
